Deep Tech House

Rick Leonard - Smooth Move EP

Release number four on 6th Sense Deep sees up and coming producer Rick Leonard make his debut with two original tracks. Hailing from the town of Hull on England's North East coast, 34 year old DJ & producer Richard Carrick aka Rick Leonard has been immersed in electronica since the age of 13. Initially fascinated by the early rave scene, it wasn't long before he discovered 'proper' house music coming out of America being pushed by DJs such as Masters At Work, and over time Rick became a convert to all kinds of deep house music. As well as this EP Rick has releases forthcoming very soon on labels such as Trendy Mullet and Headtunes, with promises of collaborations in the next few months with labels such as Bounce House and Smoke City.

Up first on remix duties we have Moshun. Consisting of John Symms and Lee Eden, they are also know under the monikers Kinky Movement and Onsei. Born and bred in Nottingham John and Lee recently formed Moshun to cater for the deeper sets they play and create. The sound of Moshun is deep and luxurious dance music with intellegence, soul, and funk, fused with a lot of live influences. That will tell you exactly what to expect with this awesome remix.   The second remix come courtesy of Marcman. This is Marcman's second outing on the label after releasing the acclaimed Way To Past EP. With a style that fuses both Oldschool House and Techno it has been an exciting year for the young starlet releasing on labels such as The Factory, Flatpack Traxx, Gourmand, Esperanza and Tzinah Records. Previous releases have received support from a wide range of DJ's including Sneak, Raresh, Djulz, Jordan Peaks, Phil Weeks and Hector Moralez.
