Fred Everything welcomes Lovebirds to his Lazy Days imprint for a sure shot 3 trackers
Lovebirds, aka Sebastian 'Basti' Doring from Hamburg, Germany, is big news right now. His releases for Winding Road, Freerange and Teardrop have catapulted him into the limelight as the one of the hottest names in underground house music. Having always selected the labels he releases his music on carefully, Basti has now chosen another massively respected imprint in Fred Everything's Lazy Days Recordings.
The result is a three track EP exploring different avenues of dance music. Title track 'N2Deep' is a driving, simple groover that has been doing damage in Fred's sets and recent podcast. The B-side is new territory for Lazy Days; 'Steelhorn' is a beautiful mid-tempo track and is followed by the amazing down tempo disco of 'U Give Me'.

With the last Smooth Agent Records release from Roy Davis Jr ft. Terry Dexter still receiving heavy rotation and cropping up in numerous playlists the world over, the Chicago based imprint strike again in the form of label owner Sean Smith. The Afro Funk EP presents a range of styles that represent the Smooth Agent sound, ranging from jazzy, funky African-influenced house and broken beat, to infectious grooves smothered in keys and thick percussion, to gritty and dubby tech house.

Yet another excellent release from Ross Couch! I listened to this EP so much that I forgotten to post it here. Great music, but here is Ross' own review; Whilst working on the 'Night And Day' album I came up with over 20 ideas, but there was only space for 12 on the final LP. The ideas that didn't appear on the album weren't neccessarily of inferior quality though, in many instances it was just that they either weren't finished in time or didn't fit style wise with the other tracks. For this new 'Directors Cut' EP I've chosen 3 of the ideas that didn't appear on the album and developed them into full tracks - enjoy!

Adaptation Music turn to one of Italy’s most respected DJ’s Haldo for their fourth outing. His deep and soulful ‘Night City Journey’ features the vocals of Loryn and comes backed by remixes from Andy Ward (Soul Central), Australian duo Random Soul and Esho Recording’s Cassady Locke who provide a range of vocal, instrumental and dub verisons. The release marks the continued quality of the Nottingham based label and club night who’s previous releases have included the work of Vincent Kwok, Richard Earnshaw, Vernon & DaCosta and Julius Papp.
